Sew-Caring Quilter's
Greetings to all from our quilters who have been very busy doing what we love,
making quilts! We are now in our twelfth year and have completed a total of
1,258 quilts since we first started our group. So far this year, we have completed
49 quilts with 36 done in February.
Our military has received 625 quilts and we will continue to provide these gifts of
lovoe and comfort to America's finest. This would not be possible without the
continued support of our church family. We cannot thank you enough for your
generous donations of fabric and monies. We are always glad to get fabric and
we are always in need of purchasing supples, especially batting ahd sheets.
We have a dedicated group of ladies and all are welcome to joins us the first and
third Tuesday of each month beginning at 9:00 a.m. Come when y ou can, leave
when you must. There is something of everyone to do. Visitors are always
weldome and we have coffee and donuts at 10:00 a.m.
Matthew 25:40 And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it
to one of the last of these My brothers, you did it to me"
The Sew-Caring Quilter's have been recognized by the Combined Command in
Iraq, receiving a certificate of commendation and a US flag that was flown over
Iraq Headquarters on July 4, 2007. The group was also recognized by Soldier's
Angel's and presented with Service Coins for their work. While both of those
recognitions are very meaningful, it is the many cards and letters from Service
men and women or their family members that mean the most to them.
Although the quilts are made with donated material and time, each quilt still costs
around $10 to create due to batting and backing costs. If you would like to aid in
their work, volunteers are always needed, or donations can be sent to the:
